Art Meets Tech: First-Ever Photography Commission Inspired by AI

Cath Simard, one of the most innovative and forward-thinking digital artists, invited her audience to use AI tools to generate landscape images.

After the creation period, there was a two-day auction where the participants had to submit one piece from their gallery along with their bid. Once complete, the winning bid was chosen to act as a commission for the 1/1 art - which Simard now - has a single year to recreate in the real world.

AI has been at the forefront of discussion throughout the whole year. The big question everyone is asking is whether AI will replace real artists.

SuperRare Feature Champions NFT Photography

For a long period of time, the photography industry has been fully in the hands of image distribution monopolies.

NFTs are here to change that.

While the technology itself is quite unique already, it has certainly brought more to the table than just the ownership aspect.

Curated collections and communities are some of the other important layers of the ecosystem that allow artists to connect with each other and foster a long-term connection through genuine relationships.

SuperRare's photography feature is a great illustration of that.

Legendary Photographer Neil Leifer Brings Iconic Images as NFTs
